Notes:

The Dead Shall Rise… Throughout the decades, death has plagued the DC Universe and taken the lives of heroes and villains alike. But to what end? As the War of Light rages on, the prophecy of the Blackest Night descends upon us, with Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps at the center of it all.

From the story by Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis.

Blue Lantern The Flash:
The Guardian Ganthet duplicates the unique qualities of Hal Jordan’s power ring, deputizing new members into each corps of color to spread the power of the unified light spectrum. After recently returning from the Speed Force and seemingly his own death, Barry Allen is chosen to wear and wield the power of the blue ring. Combined with his considerable speed, he is given the task of spreading the message of hope to all.

Star Sapphire Wonder Woman:
Like her fellow heroes, Wonder Woman has had to face friends and foes once thought lost – and now within the ranks of the Black Lantern Corps. After returning from the cold fingers of death herself, Wonder Woman was initially overcome by the power of the black ring. But through sheer will, force of character and the power of love imbued by the sapphire ring, she was able to fight her way back to the light. Now, as a Star Sapphire, Wonder Woman joins the ranks of the array of newly powered agents of the emotional spectrum to combat the rising darkness.

Green Lantern Hal Jordan:
As the personification of the Green Lantern Corps, Hal Jordan has been at the center of the universe-shattering War of Light. Forced to confront the true power of the emotional spectrum, nearly consumed by it, Hal Jordan has emerged as the cohesive force, the leader who will forge on to the light, banishing the darkness wrought by the Blackest Night.

Black Lantern Hawkgirl:
When Kendra SaundersHawkgirl – is impaled from behind by a spear held by a newly reanimated Black Lantern Sue Dibny, she declares her love for Carter Hall with her dying breath. After witnessing her death, he’s enraged but useless against the force of Black Lantern Elongated Man. Hawkman, too, meets his own violent end. With their hearts consumed by the Black Rings of Power, they are now united in death as they longed to be in life, resurrected as two of the first members of the undead corps.
